We had some fantastic singers some of which I hadn't seen in quite a long time. Donna Turiano who I last saw sing was at Pop Pop Dugan's in Englishtown, NJ. She did a great job on some classics like The Rose, Paradise by the Dashboard Lights and a few Madonna songs.
Julia Baskin Merced lives nearby and brought her friend Eric who initially didn't want to sing but did in the end, Julia was killing some rock classics like Round and Round by Ratt and even some disco like Stomp by The Brothers Johnson. She and Eric sang Van Halen's Panama and well he did very good. Hope he will try some solo songs in weeks to come.
We had plenty of other local talent there as well including Sierra, Voni, Kristen, Jill, Steve, Josh, Jill and not to forget Kae who was fantastic. Kae even let me sing Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis' version of Cruisin' with her, she rocked out all night long and I can't wait to see her sing again.
